Nicole Dutton Owner of Shalom Movement

Nicole Dutton began her dance journey 18 years ago with Mrs. Sarah Kane at Soul Purpose, studying ballet, tap, and jazz. When Soul Purpose closed in 2015, she continued at Shalom Movement School of Dance under Mrs. Hope Borthick, expanding into contemporary, modern, hip-hop, and acro.

Driven by a deep passion for dance, Nicole earned her BFA in Dance from Austin Peay State University, performing in every concert and showcasing her own choreography. In her senior year, she participated in a musical and created a capstone project involving auditions, casting, costumes, and lighting.

She has taught a wide range of dance styles at Shalom for three years and at the Community School of the Arts in Clarksville for one year.

Now, Nicole has fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning her own dance studio and has been successfully leading it for over a year. She’s seen Shalom from all perspectives, as a student, teacher, and now owner.

“I’m excited to follow in the footsteps of two women I’ve admired for most of my life, and to expand on what they’ve built. I’m so blessed that God has given me this opportunity.”

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4
