Dakota Jones grew up here in Springfield, Tennessee where she began dancing at 5 years old. She started by taking technique classes in ballet, tap, and jazz. She then began dancing at Shalom Movement School of Dance when it opened in 2015. From there she started taking several different genres including: ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern, pointe, jazz, tap, acro and hip-hop, as well as being a part of competition team and company. She began student-teaching at Shalom when she was 15 and fell in love with helping young dancers be able to grow in their art. She has also helped choreograph several different jazz and musical theatre routines for musical performances in Robertson County. Dakota is now attending Western Kentucky University where she is majoring in Psychology as well as minoring in Dance. She is overjoyed to have the opportunity to teach such inspiring students who have such a passion to dance.
