ERIN BARNES

Erin Barnes has had a passion for Dance and the Arts from a very young age. She began dancing at age 10 as a member of a Jewish Folk dance group. She was able to travel and perform at cultural events, benefit concerts, and churches with this group. She then began to be exposed to other forms of dance, and has enjoyed learning many genres including Ballet, Contemporary, Cheer, Acro, Irish Step Dancing and African Dance. She has had the privilege of studying Ballet under Donna Martelli of Harkness Ballet and Beautiful Feet Dance Ministries, and enjoyed a season of learning at Sacred Dance Institute, as well as performing with other dance ministries throughout the Indianapolis area.

Erin and her husband, Tony, have spent the  last 5 years in full-time Missions, and have had quite the adventure! From performing with musicians in China, to spreading the Gospel in the Amazon, it’s been a wild ride! Their 3 children love all things music and dance, so they are very excited for this new adventure their mom is taking them on! You might find their family buying too many pastries at the local bakery, visiting Dewey (the turtle) at the local library, or playing music much too loudly in their home. Erin and her family are thrilled to plant their roots down in Springfield and to spend their time pouring into the Shalom Movement Family!
